abstract – minimalist – experimental

calm reflections on life’s beauty and fundamental simplicity

How much – or rather how little – is needed for colors, shapes and materials to reveal their essence and effect? What are the characteristics of a shape, its relationships and interactions with other objects and its surroundings?

Following an intuitive approach, I strive for balance without losing tension, for reduction without becoming trivial, and am always fascinated by universal concepts of form, mass, proportion, rhythm, and structure.

My works are intended to provide a grounding experience and radiate a sense of calm, peace and serenity while still retaining a small touch of mystery. Without denying the dark out there they deliberately focus on beauty and joy and may offer some comfort, contemplation and a visual rest in a challenging and fast-paced world.
