simplicity - clarity - peace
calm reflections on life’s beauty and fundamental simplicity
How much – or rather how little – is required for colors, shapes, and materials to truly reveal their essence and impact? What defines a shape, and how does it relate to and interact with other objects and its environment?
I strive for balance without losing tension, for reduction without becoming trivial, inspired by form, mass, proportion, rhythm, and structure.
My works are intended to provide a grounding experience, radiating tranquility and serenity while preserving a subtle sense of mystery. Though they acknowledge the presence of darkness in the world, they intentionally focus on beauty and joy, providing comfort, space for contemplation, and a visual respite amidst the challenges and fast pace of modern life.

In 2020, Swiss artist Simone moved with her family to rural New Jersey, USA, where she lives and paints on a small horse farm. In her studio, surrounded by nature, she creates calm paintings that speak to the heart and nurture the soul.
